(Going to work backwards with the photo posts in relation to date here, bear with me.)
Unfortunately, I can't say I had much fun during A-KON this year.
Normally, despite stress and my work schedule, I manage to have a great time. Not really sure what it was, but it seems I had caught the stomach flu during my vacation the few days before and it surfaced Friday morning at work right before the convention.
I don't believe I need to spell anything out, but I constantly felt like a saw was being zigzagged into my abdomen. @_@ To top it off, I was still kind of hungry despite the nausea and I hadn't eaten since the day before. That being said, I left early during the entire convention and passed out at home in the evening hours.
Thank you to everyone who came and visited my table though, my sincerest apologies! Q_Q
I tried to take instax with all my buddiesss, so here are a few.
Also did not try to look presentable every day either - A - Baby Kate and I did go to Spiral Diner Friday night, but 9_9 no luck with the food, I found out.
Didn't manage to get a photo of everything I drew as my phone battery mysteriously drained quickly every single day. -_-)
My sister bought me this Shappo key cover since I never got a chance to visit the dealer's room the entire weekend. Some Food at Tampopo that I promptly ended up vomiting (woo).
They hanged the location to the Hilton Anatole this year. The hotel was really quite lovely! But because the dealers room and Artist Alley were in closed spaces and attendance was higher, they kept locking down the areas meaning traffic didn't move because people would just stand around the AA not buying anything. At one point Saturday, the Fire Marshall arrived because it got so crowded. The lines were spectacular, and even come Sunday many people were still waiting to receive their badge.
Hopefully, next year will be better in terms of organization. Another issue that should be of note is that it took forever for AA staff to get back with anyone (a month before?) and it really ruined a lot of people's plans. :^(
My only regret is not taking photos of cosplayers, there were so many fun ones too! I was just too ill to do any real scoping out of the con grounds. Well, until next time.
Thank you for reading!
